  • Overview

    The Strategic Alliance Manager  (SAM) North East U.S. is responsible for managing the relationship between Vetsource and its National, Corporate and Key Accounts in the assigned region. The SAM will develop and strengthen relationships with C-Level and Regional Management personnel and will work closely with Regional Practice Consultants to execute agreed upon strategies and tactics at the clinic level. The SAM will be a key point of contact for the Key Account, National Account and Regional Sales Directors and their respective teams. The SAM will contribute to the overall revenue for the area. The SAM will take direction and work closely with the Area Sales Director.


    This a remote working position that requires travel.   


    This position is based in the North East U.S. - North Carolina North East to Maine.  Candidates residing in this geographic area, and close to a major airport, will be considered.  No relocation assistance is provided.  


    • Establishes productive, professional relationships with national and key account management
    • Sell Vetsource’s ScriptRight and other Vetsource product and service solutions
    • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and executive management resources to meet account performance objectives and customer expectations.
    • Attends veterinary conferences and regional meetings to present Vetsource solutions
    • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned region
    • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
    • Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary stakeholders
    • Coordinate with strategic partners for mutually beneficial collaboration
    • Other projects/duties as assigned

    • Achieves assigned quarterly sales quota in designated accounts
    • Meets assigned expectations for profitability and customer retention
    • Achieves customer objectives as defined by Vetsource Management

    • Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably in animal health or similar industry
    • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business management or related field preferred; or related work experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in animal health industry
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Familiarity of eCommerce business (online retail)


    Working Conditions:

    • Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time
    • Remote working
    • Travel required – minimum 50%
    • Environment where dogs are present in office areas of Vetsource locations
    • Must have transportation
