  • Overview

    The National Account Manager maintains and expands relationships with national and regional distribution partners who act as sales agents for the Vetsource Home Delivery solution platform.  Assigned to one or more distribution partners, the National Account Manager is responsible for achieving sales quota and assigned partner objectives. The National Account Manager represents the entire range of Vetsource services and offerings to assigned partners, while leading the partner account planning cycle and ensuring assigned partners’ needs and expectations are met by the company.


    This is a remote working position that requires travel.


    • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned distribution accounts.
    • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and executive management resources, in order to meet sales performance objectives and distribution partner’s expectations.
    • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned partner accounts.
    • Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period.
    • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates distribution partner’s needs on an ongoing basis.
    • Actively participates in national, regional and branch partner meetings keeping Vetsource top of mind.


    Performance Measurements:

    • Achieves assigned <Quarterly> sales quota in designated accounts.
    • Ensures a high percentage of partner’s sales representatives are actively engaged in selling Vetsource
    • Growth in new hospital signups per partner sales representatives.
    • Growth in average revenue per month in designated partner hospitals.
    • Active engagement of indirect sales force through sales meetings, presentations, hospital visits, trade shows and other opportunities that actively promote Vetsource’s services.

    • Experience in animal health industry
    • Uses a defined enterprise sales methodology to drive results
    • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
    • Results driven, proactive and able to work autonomously
    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing priorities
    • Able to relate to and work with a wide variety of stakeholders
    • Flexible, with the ability to embrace change in a rapidly evolving work and market environment

    Supervisory Responsibilities:   None



    • 6-8 years’ experience in direct B2B Sales and experience in animal health industry
    • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business management or related field. Equivalent experience will be taken into consideration.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience managing large enterprise and strategic accounts
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Familiarity of eCommerce business (on line retail)

    Working Conditions:

    • Travel required – 50%
    • Remote working
    • Environment where dogs are present in office areas of Vetsource locations
