  • Overview

    The QA Analyst is responsible for creating and executing test plans to ensure that software applications function as expected, meeting all objectives of a software development project.  This position will be expected to complete testing tasks independently while seeking better processes and tools to make the test process more efficient and reliable.  The QA Analyst will work very closely with Scrum team and development manager during a project’s life cycle. Located in Portland, OR this position requires working on-site.



    • Participate as a Scrum team member with goals of releasing software increments while meeting the needs and expectations of stakeholders.
    • Execute the test plan, performing manual testing on Web, Mobile, and desktop applications.
    • Utilize available tools to automate and streamline test activities.
    • Suggest and create new tools to increase testing efficiency and reliability.
    • Clearly document and communicate issues found during testing to the development team using issue tracking software.
    • Utilize SQL and REST clients as well as other tools to create, manipulate and verify data during testing.
    • Communicate with business partners to coordinate testing efforts when integration with a 3rd party is required.
    • Clear understanding of when testing is complete and ability to report on test status at any time.

    Test Case Management

    • Participate in new project specification reviews, ensuring new features and key examples of these features are clear and verifiable.
    • Generate and maintain reusable test cases to verify new features and functionality or for regression testing to verify existing functional continuity of operational expectations.
    • Generate test plans for development projects, utilizing the proper set of test cases required to verify the new features in a project and perform the correct level of regression testing.

    • High School diploma or G.E.D.
    • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (intermediate Word, basic Excel)
    • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor Degree in related field
    • Computer software experience preferred


    Working Conditions

    • Environment where dogs are present
    • Sitting and using computer for extended periods of time
    • Dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and to handle other computer components
