  • Overview

    The Vendor Support Specialist will support the day to day vendor account management, including invoicing, purchase and sales levels, audit of vendor contracts, promotion analysis, and Vendor project support.

    Responsibilities

    • Track and audit of vendor contracts and reports changes, including notifications of changes to stakeholders
    • Monitor manufacturer purchases and sales to ensure rebate thresholds to maintain levels/reach new levels are met
    • Ensure plans are in place and executed to spend marketing funds provided by manufacturers
    • Supporting day to day vendor account management needs (e.g. tracking invoices and programs, emailing vendors regarding invoices/outstanding balances)
    • Prepare quarterly and as needed business reviews to support vendors and meetings
    • Drive complete promotional offering including drafting promotion verbiage and proposals and forecasting manufacturer spend
    • Analyze and report promotion results in order to details trends and results
    • Document promotions in the market and propose strategy to implement via home delivery
    • Help prepare presentations, meeting agendas, marketing and marketing kit proposals
    • Support vendor projects and initiatives
    • Other duties/projects as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Previous administrative assistance experience.
    • Proper etiquette and confidentiality using strong communication skills (verbal and written). Includes effective listening and clear and concise communication skills in person, on the phone or via email.
    • Ability to build and maintain positive relations internally and externally.
    • Integrity and confidentiality.
    • Strong organizational, task and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment including the capacity to start and stop projects seamlessly, despite frequent interruptions, while maintaining attention to detail
    • Work well both individually and in teams.
    • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others. Includes a friendly can-do attitude and willingness to contribute to any project whether it relates to sales, inventory, returns, customer service, etc.
    • Good computer skills including the ability to learn how to navigate unfamiliar systems or programs quickly. Ability to use multiple computer programs at once.
    • Must be able to use sound judgement and know when to ask manager for assistance
    • Ability to receive constructive feedback in a professional manner

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree preferred; or related work experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Data analytics experience
    • Experience using Google Documents and other shared programs

    Working Conditions

    • Environment where dogs are present
    • Work sitting at a computer for extended periods of time
