  • Overview

    The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the realization of key business goals and initiatives from goal generation, assessment of opportunities and risks, creation of potential paths forward through to realization of agreed upon solution.


    Vetsource is a quickly growing healthcare IT services company in the pet healthcare industry. Our Business Analyst (level 1) works closely with our small project management team. Together, they are responsible for supporting and overseeing the realization of key business initiatives from initial specification to implementation and evaluation. Projects span internal process improvement initiatives as well as business development and expansion opportunities.  This team drives projects independently across multiple departments. Our Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in working closely with stakeholders to understand their issues, work through possible solutions and then ensure that solutions delivered address all underlying issues.  They will regularly interface with accounting, sales and customer service, operations, pharmacy workflow, regulatory and development.  Candidates must thrive in a fast paced, challenging but fun and interesting environment.     • Assessing current practices, collecting information and analyzing industry trends to determine organizational objectives.
    • Assist in design and implementation of new projects/programs by analyzing internal and external customer and stakeholder requirements.
    • Make recommendations for improving systems and processes by studying the products.
    • Prepares technical reports by analyzing and summarizing the information and trends
    • Continuous focus on learning the business and leveraging that knowledge to drive better implementation of current and future projects
    • Interact regularly with existing or potential stakeholders, customers and users to determine their needs and to develop plans for improving delivery. Advocate on behalf of stakeholder’s and represent clients' needs as appropriate to senior management.
    • Achieve objectives by working cross-functionally and collaboratively. Contribute information and recommendations to inform strategic plans.
    • Actively seek out and develop solutions to challenges that prevent Vetsource from achieving our potential.
    • Other duties/projects as assigned.

    • Excellent computer skills are required; experience using email, instant message, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint as well as the ability to learn how to navigate unfamiliar systems or programs quickly.
    • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.



    • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Management or equivalent job related experience.

    • Environment where dogs are present
    • Working at a computer for long periods of time
    • Noise level is normally quiet to moderate
